The ending that never happened. Made this for Valentine's Day.
Mr. Todd goes out on one gloomy day in Fleet Street where he found a batch of dead roses by the trash in the corner of his shop. He picked two of the brightest red or what's left of its former beauty and head towards the place where he last seen her many years ago as he was taken away from his wife and child. Mr. Todd: Lucy.... I've come home again.... Beggar Woman: 'Alms, alms... for a pitiful woman.... Mr.Todd: I'm sorry, ma'm... I don't have any spare quarter nor a penny dreadful with me in my pockets.... Beggar Woman:Ah, those roses... its for your love isn't it.... Mr. Todd:Its for my wife... she's... !? Mr. Todd: Don't I know you...? - Fade to black as the ill-fated lovers reunited where they were lost from each other many years ago - EDIT: Retouched the dying roses and Sweeney's clothes and face along with Beggar Woman's hair strands. Lightened up the colors a little to show a sad but warm emotion when they saw face to face. Daryl |
